Sometimes on stage, the scene calls for some physicallity that we're not prepared to handle. Well, no more half-assing it. Learn from the pros. Noa Gavin and Adrian Beluska developed a stage combat class specifically for DCH improvisers so we can be safe, badasses on stage.
Week 1: Stunting, Falling, and not hurting yourself or anyone else
Week 2: Close range combat
Week 3: Weapons
Week 4: Throws, takedowns, sweeps, moving to the ground
Week 5: Ground fighting
Week 6: Fight Sequencing
Because this class is held at the Machado Jiu-Jitsu Lake Highlands studio (about 15 minutes from DCH), there's plenty of room for an entire troupe to sign up for the class. It's a great way for an entire troupe to elevate their play on stage.
ATTIRE: Please wear comfortable workout clothes. Shorts, workout tops or pants. Something you are comfortable moving around in. Don't be dumb and wear jeans or khakis. Be ready to move. Shoes are not important as we will not be wearing them. The studio has a changing room, so you can change there if need be.
