ABOUT ABOUT

Acting Choices in Improv
with Frank Caeti
Saturday 3/26 10:30am - 1:00pm

As human beings we are all capable of a diverse range of emotions, yet often our improv scenes are underacted and driven by ironic detachment. Making strong acting choices that are informed by subtext, vulnerability, and intention can create richer scenes. In this workshop we will focus on making honest, real choices that ground the improviser to the emotional reality of the scene.

Frank Caeti is an actor, improviser, writer, and director originally from Chicago currently living in Los Angeles. He's excited to return to Dallas as this is his fourth time performing at DCH. This time with longtime friend and collaborator Ithamar Enriquez. Frank directed Ithamar's silent one man show Ithamar Has Nothing To Say and co-wrote a web series for Maker Studios. He was also seen at the Dallas Theater Center with Second City's The Second City Does Dallas. He currently plays at UCB with the house Harold team Zoo Zoo and at iO West in the Armando Show. His credits include: MADtv, The Second City Chicago (Tourco and resident company alum), Key and Peele, iO Chicago, Reno 911, The Hot Wives of Orlando, Just for Laughs Montreal, LA Jolla Playhouse, Goodman Theatre, and Kirk Douglas Theater. He is also one half of the duo FrankenMatt and currently a faculty member at The Second City Hollywood. He co-wrote and directed #Date Me, which has been running over a year in Chicago. Frank has taught improv for ComedySportz and Second City in Chicago and Las Vegas. He has led workshops in dozens of cities including Denver, Seattle, Charleston, Vienna, Hong Kong, and Beijing.
